THE BEAT BOSS

The BEAT Boss

Founder of Boss Global Radio
DJ. Blogger. Rebel in the rhythm.

I was born and raised in Odessa, Texas, where everything I am started with static on the radio. I used to call into local stations, hang around control rooms, and study how the DJs worked. I was just a kid, but I already knew that sound was my purpose. The red “ON AIR” light wasn’t just a sign. It was a heartbeat.

By sixteen, I was behind the decks myself, spinning the freestyle and dance music that raised me. Johnny O. Cynthia. Stevie B. Those weren’t just names to me. They were the soundtrack to a time when music still had soul. I bought my first turntables in 1993 and started teaching myself the craft the hard way, by ear and by instinct. By 1994, I was live on FM radio, mixing freestyle records in real time and feeling the rush of knowing someone out there was listening.

From 1994 through 2015, I lived and breathed radio. I became a Mixshow Director, a club DJ, and the go-to voice for freestyle, dance, and pop across West Texas. I built my reputation one mix at a time, working through long nights and tight budgets, chasing the same love for sound that first pulled me in as a kid. But over time, radio started changing. It became colder, more commercial, and less human. The passion that used to drive it got replaced by corporate playlists and empty talk about “metrics.” Real DJs got pushed out for automation. Real music started getting buried under algorithms and ads.

I saw what was happening, and I walked away. I needed to breathe, to heal, to figure out who I was without a microphone in front of me. I had given everything to the scene, and in return, I watched it lose its soul. For a while, I thought maybe that was it. Maybe the dream was dead. But silence has a way of reminding you that the fire never really goes out. It just waits for air.

In 2021, I came back with nothing but conviction and built Boss Global Radio from scratch. No investors. No label help. No team. Just me. Every show, every playlist, every blog, every line of code, every mix—it all comes from my hands. I write every story. I curate every song. I build every lineup. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence. It’s about giving listeners something real, even if it means sacrificing comfort.

A lot of people wrote me off. They continue to do so. They said I was finished. They said I couldn’t rebuild after losing everything. But I did. Brick by brick. Line by line. Stream by stream. I learned every skill I needed to keep this station alive, from sound engineering to digital marketing to web design. Nobody taught me how to do it. I figured it out the same way I figured out how to mix on vinyl, through trial, error, and stubborn faith.

Today, Boss Global Radio isn’t a company. It’s a mission. It’s a living pulse built on truth, independence, and resistance. It’s the voice of every artist who’s been overlooked, every DJ who’s been replaced by a playlist, and every creator who’s been told they don’t matter. I don’t have a staff, a label, or a corporation backing me. What I have is experience, drive, and purpose. I’ve seen betrayal up close. I’ve been pushed out of rooms I helped build. I’ve watched people I once supported turn their backs the second I refused to play along. Even family doesn't support my vision. I'm mocked by many. But I’m still here. Still spinning. Still building. Still breathing.

Even if only one person is listening, it still means my heart has a pulse.

That’s what keeps me going. Not the numbers. Not the validation. The connection. Knowing that somewhere out there, somebody hears the truth and feels alive again.

I don’t just spin records. I spin resistance.
I don’t just talk. I tell the truth.
I don’t chase fame. I build freedom.

This station is living proof that you can lose everything and still come back louder. You can be broken and still create something beautiful. Boss Global Radio exists because I refused to let silence win.

If you’re listening, you’re part of this too.

Welcome to the movement.
