All in, that’s about $20,000 a year to keep this station independent. Not huge, but not pocket change either. We keep costs down, do the work ourselves, and don’t take a dime from ads, sponsors, underwriters, foundations, grants, or banks.

Why? The signal would disappear immediately if we compromised. And our signal—the truth, the Hi-Fi sound, the uncensored music—means everything to us.

We are free from the algorithms and filters that prioritize sponsors' opinions over content, which often undermine commercial radio.
